Vivekananda Club Wins Against DBSC at the SMKP 1st Division Cricket Today

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 3rd March, 2018: Today in the SMKP conducted 1st Division Cricket League DBSC took on Vivekananda Club (VNC) at the Tarai School Ground of Siliguri. The toss was won by VNC and they elected to bat. After a promising start by the openers Dibakar Bose and Sonu Kumar Singh, the batting side put up a score of 297 runs losing 7 wickets. The prominent run-getters were Chandan Singh (74), Dibakar Bose (61) and Pratik Saha (40). In the second innings, DBSC also started in a graceful manner with both openers i.e. Sayan Mondal (38) and Anthesh Kar (64) put up a decent score. The next batsman Saurav Bardhan scored 48 runs. However, after that, the collapse started. Ultimately, DBSC could manage only 276 runs losing 7 wickets, falling short of 21 runs of the VNC score. Thus VNC won by 21 runs. Chandan Singh of VNC was declared Man of the Match for his blistering 74 runs.
